Chronic illness bites

Today I was frustrated about living with Neutropenia. I was just sick of it all: bone pain moderate even with pain meds; fever; raw sore throat; fatigue; and just over-all feeling of 'feeling like crap'. Yet, I feel a need to go about my day as if I'm just fine. When in reality, I want to scream! I just don't want the hurt any more. I don't want the pain. I don't want to think about the fact that I could really sick at any moment. People ask, "How are you?" I answer I'm fine because who really wants to hear about it all the time. I realize I write on this blog in a positive way, but thought you would want to see the other side- that I don't feel positive all the time-and it's normal to feel this way sometimes. I hope those with chronic illness don't feel this way every day-that they can see the good things more often than not. But when you do feel down, know that you are not alone and it's okay to feel this way sometimes-it's normal! Have a great week everyone. Kat

July 22, 2012

Hi there, Thank you to every one who's reading the blog. Much appreciated. This week, I have struggled with fever, skin cysts, sore throat, and bone pain. My pain meds continue to help make the bone pain tolerable. The pain has been moderate in my legs. One night this past week,I felt miserable. Very tired, in pain, and thought I was getting the flu or virus. But it only lasted one day, so that's good. I have not been able to exercise due to infections. But am hoping to start tomorrow or the next day. Hope you are doing well. Take care of yourselves. Kat

July 7, 2012

Hi there, Hope you are doing well. And, if you live ib the US, I hope you enjoyed you 4th of July! Most of my symptoms from the last post ae gone. I still have bone pain and the overall fatique/weakness that is not alleviated by sleep. But the mouth sores, stomach issues, and UTI are gone! I haven't been to the acupuncturist for some time. I need to call and make an appointment. That may help. Hope you all enjoy your weekend! Kat
